RXR Chairman and CEO Scott Rechler was featured in The New York Times discussing New York City’s economic outlook amid slowing job growth and broader economic uncertainty. During a conversation about the city’s development pipeline, Rechler highlighted the strength of the construction sector, noting that major projects, from airport redevelopments and office towers to casinos and transit infrastructure, are helping sustain robust demand for skilled labor.
“I just met with some union partners in the building trades, and they’re 100 percent employed,” said Rechler. “That is a good opportunity — recruiting more workers and making sure they have housing.”
