This week, Commercial Observer’s AI & Innovation Forum: Reimagining Multifamily Through AI, Experience & Data, brought together leaders across the multifamily industry to discuss how they are approaching AI. Andrew Min, Senior Vice President of Digital and Strategic Initiatives at RXR, joined the conversation to discuss RXR’s AI journey and how the company is thinking about the technology. A key theme of the discussion was the importance of connecting AI to real business needs, with the panel emphasizing the need to first identify the problems they are trying to solve and then consider how AI can help employees better serve residents.
“One thing we realized was, even though we had this mountain of data, that getting from a question to an answer required either going into raw data and doing a lot of analysis on your own, or building an infinite amount of customizable dashboards that we could just never quite get right,” said Min. “So, one of the things that we built this year was AI capabilities that actually work directly within our business intelligence layer.”
