This week, The New York Post highlighted RXR’s continued transformation of 5 Times Square, reporting on a new 17,000-square-foot lease at 582 Seventh Avenue for The Smith and Parla. Expected to open in early 2028, the restaurants will bring approximately 300 seats to the property, further expanding its retail and dining offerings as RXR redevelops the former office tower into a mixed-use destination with up to 1,250 rental apartments. The new leases also reflect the continued momentum of 42BELOW, where food and beverage storefronts have grown 15.3% over the past two years.
