Scott Rechler Ranks Top 10 in Commercial Observer’s Power 100 After Landmark Year for RXR

This week, RXR Chairman and CEO Scott Rechler was named one of the top 10 figures on Commercial Observer’s Power 100 list, recognition that comes amid a major year for the firm across New York City real estate. In 2025, RXR completed the city’s first billion-dollar office deal since 2018 with its $1.08 billion acquisition of 590 Madison Avenue, secured a $1.45 billion recapitalization for 1211 Avenue of the Americas, and launched Gemini Office Venture, a new $3.5 billion investment vehicle seeded with marquee Manhattan office assets.

RXR also received approval alongside Apollo Global Management and SL Green to convert 5 Times Square into a 1,250-unit mixed-use residential project, further expanding the firm’s office-to-residential conversion activity across the city. Most recently, RXR filed permits for a 95-story office and hotel tower at 175 Park Avenue near Grand Central, underscoring Rechler’s continued bet on the long-term future of New York City development.
