Joseph Graziose, Jr. serves as President of RXR Construction & Development, where he leads the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the company’s multidisciplinary construction and development platform. In this role, he oversees a team of more than 120 professionals across development, construction, design, preconstruction, development asset management, financial planning and operations.
As President, Mr. Graziose is responsible for the overall performance and growth of the business, including strategic planning, profit and loss management, human capital, project execution and operational strategy. Under his leadership, RXR Construction & Development manages a diverse portfolio of complex projects throughout the New York metropolitan region and select national markets, spanning ground-up development, large-scale master plans, residential conversions, office repositioning, public-private partnerships and third-party construction and development assignments.
RXR’s platform currently includes approximately $14.1 billion of active development, 3 million square feet of active ground-up construction and 12,600 residential units in development or operation. Mr. Graziose also oversees RXR’s construction management business, which provides comprehensive construction management and general contracting services for RXR and third-party clients.
Throughout his tenure, Mr. Graziose has focused on building an integrated, solutions-oriented organization that brings together development, design, construction and financial expertise to solve complex real estate challenges. His leadership philosophy emphasizes disciplined execution, accountability, innovation and a customer- and community-centered approach designed to create enduring value for clients, partners and stakeholders.
Since joining RXR in 2011, Mr. Graziose has held a series of increasingly senior leadership positions within the organization. Prior to becoming President, he served as Executive Vice President and Senior Vice President, with responsibility for RXR’s multifamily development portfolio. In those roles, he oversaw projects throughout the full development lifecycle—including acquisition, zoning and entitlements, design, preconstruction, construction and development management—and played an integral role in the expansion of RXR’s residential platform beyond the New York metropolitan region into markets across the United States.
Prior to joining RXR, Mr. Graziose held project management roles with Gilbane Building Company, where he worked on commercial and institutional construction projects in New York City.
Mr. Graziose is actively involved in civic and business organizations throughout the region. He serves on the boards of the Westchester Parks Foundation, New Rochelle Business Improvement District, New Rochelle Police Foundation and Stamford Downtown Special Services District. His professional and community leadership has been recognized by City & State as part of its Westchester Power 100, by Westfair Communications as a Fairfield County 40 Under Forty honoree, by the Business Council of Westchester as a Rising Star 40 Under 40, and by Blank Slate Media as a Long Island 40 Under 40 honoree.
Mr. Graziose earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Boston College.
